Paradex is a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange that supports trading of perpetual futures, spot markets, options, and pre-markets across over 250 instruments. It operates on Paradex Chain, a high-performance Layer-2 blockchain initially developed as Starknet's first appchain in collaboration with StarkWare and powered by Starknet technology with custom optimizations (including the evolving DimeVM). The platform enables self-custodial trading with institutional-grade privacy features implemented through a multi-layered zero-knowledge system: encrypted state commitments on Ethereum, authenticated RPC access on the Layer-2 chain, and off-chain order matching to prevent exposure of positions, entry/exit prices, liquidation levels, and profit/loss data while maintaining on-chain verifiability and settlement.
